What do I get with each session?
Instruction from top-rated certified pickleball instructors, free access to the Pickle Bullpen (make your own action trading card and watch training videos), and a chance to meet a touring pro from the APP or PPA Tour once every 6-week session.
Is there a cost to join the league?
Each 6-week session is $90. You can pay by Zelle (juliecdstewart@gmail.com) or through Step Up For Students, and scholarships are available for families who need them.
Do I need to bring my own personal paddle and balls?
No. It is encouraged to have your own paddle, but we will have extra paddles for those teens who need them. Balls will be supplied by the league.
Does a participant need experience playing pickleball to join the league?
No experience is required. We have players who are just picking up a paddle for the first time to players who have been playing for multiple years.
Are there any other requirements one needs to join the league?
We are exclusively a youth pickleball program for ages 7‑18, with sessions grouped by age. As well, a general liability waiver needs to be filled out and signed by a parent or legal guardian of the youth player.
When and where does the league meet?
Our 6-week sessions meet Tuesdays, 4:30–6:00 PM, and tournaments run 4:30–6:30 PM, at the Pompano Pickleball Courts, 601 S Pompano Ave, Sarasota, FL 34237. The full schedule is on TeamReach.
Can I just be dropped off or does a parent or legal guardian have to stay with me?
Unless you have made prior arrangements in advance with Julie (League Founder & Instructor), the parent or adult from the school or youth organization must stay with you for the entire session.
Are there clothing or shoe requirements?
It's suggested participants where loose-fitting apparel and closed-toed court shoes.
